Latest Peacock Parade Purchases: Sachin & Babi Tops

I think I’ve pretty much satisfied my top collection for the upcoming season – I have bought way too many.  Two of my latest purchases came from Peacock Parade, one of Canada’s flash sale sites . The tops were originally listed as $360 and $295 were purchased at $129 and $89, excluding taxes and shipping, respectively.  Both tops are meant to be a bit loose, so I’ve either tucked them in (as I did with the teal one) or worn with skinny pants (orange).

  • Shirt: Sachin & Babi, XS (Peacock Parade)
  • Skirt: Reiss, size XS
  • Shoes: Barclay, Size 22 (equiv to 34.5/4.5)
  • Bag: 442McAdam

  • Top: As above
  • Skirt: Zara Basic pencil skirt, size XS
  • Shoes: Christian Louboutin Proratas, size 34
  • Bag: Escada

I haven’t worn the orange top out yet (other than for this shoot), but the first one was worn to Day One of The ShOws with a Reiss skirt (first picture) I purchased in Hong Kong.  Does it look better with an a-line or a pencil (second picture, above)?  What about pants (below)?  I’ve also  included a picture of what the shirt looks like untucked or unbelted.  Not exactly the best thing, I think.

  • Top: As above
  • Pants: Rag & Bone for Intermix, size 24
  • Shoes: Stuart Weitzman, size 5
  • Belt: H&M, size XS

  • As above, worn without the belt

I found the orange top to be more than a bit big (even at XS).  I think very skinny/jegging type pants help and I guess belting would too, but worn with normal skinny pants just plain doesn’t work:

  • Top: Sachin & Babi, XS
  • Pants: Zara, size 2
  • Camisole: Smartset, XS
  • Shoes: Odesso vita nova for Barclay, size 22 (34.5/4.5)

  • Top and Camisole: As Above
  • Pants: Rag & Bone for Intermix, size 24
  • Shoes: Barclay, Size 22 (equiv to 34.5/4.5)

  • Top: As above:
  • Skirt: Banana Republic pinstripe pencil skirt, size 0P (very old)
  • Shoes: Barclay, Size 22 (equiv to 34.5/4.5)

Tucking the shirt in helps a bit, I think, but you lose half the fringe!  I know that both tops are meant to be worn loose, but the orange one (I love the colour) is a lot harder to style!  Tips, please!

  • I like the green top with the pencil skirt and the skinny pants with a belt! As for the orange top I like with the black skinny pants you have. How about really casual with a pair of skinny jeans? And maybe a thick belt to cinch it in at the waist?

    • I've thought about that. Maybe a camel coloured belt, too. 🙂
