Delicious Food Show 2014: Celebrity Chefs, Hands-On Workshops and More

The 2014 edition of the Delicious Food Show is only a week away!  This delicious, food-related event will feature, as usual, celebrity chefs, how-to workshops and, of course, exhibitors from food/food related brands (and restaurants, too) both large and small – you might even discover a new one as I did last year with Gaga for Gluten-Free.  Since last year’s show, I’ve been seeing the cookies EVERYWHERE!  Names this year include Monkey Butter, Liberté (my favourite brand of yogurt) as well as restaurants like Tabule and Milagro Cantina.  And celebrity chefs?  They Roger Mooking, Mark McEwan and Chuck Hughes, all appearing on the Food Network Celebrity Stage.

In addition to various brands and celebrity appearances, the event will also have hands-on workshops, each focusing on specific topics.  One which sounds very interesting to me is hosted by Cheesewerks on…what else?  Hosting with Canadian cheese!  Unfortunately, I have a scheduling conflict and won’t be able to attend.  The Halloween finger foods workshop also sounds quite interesting.

This year’s Delicious Food Show runs from Friday, October 17 until Sunday, October 19 at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place in Toronto.  Tickets are available online ($20 for adults 18-64; $15 for 65+; $10 for teens 13-17 and free for kids 12 and under) or at the door ($22 for adults).  Group tickets are also available.
