ADDITION ELLE held a grand opening party for its new location on Yonge and Queen yesterday evening with a cocktails/meet-and-greet/shopping event.  This plus-size exclusive store, which has several locations across Canada, sells stylish, affordable clothes for work and weekend as well as lingerie and accessories, most for under $100 carrying well-known brands such as Levis, DKNY Jeans and Apple Bottom in addition to its own lines.  The store was well-organized, with sections dedicated to different types of clothing, such as lingerie and “in season” pieces (currently resort/cruisewear).

Based purely on observation, attendees seemed to have an amazing time at the event, bringing armloads of clothing to fitting rooms, and nibbling on delicious appetizers that included mini turkey club sandwiches and cheesecake pops.  However, the highlight of the event was probably a special appearance by ADDITION ELLE model, Ashley Graham, who was there to mix and mingle with shoppers and speak with media. Anthea of Clothes Line Finds and I spoke with Ashley briefly where she discussed how much fun she had shooting the latest campaign.  While the event was a lot of fun, it would have been nice if Ashley had the opportunity say a few words to the shoppers.

The new ADDITION ELLE store is located on 181 Yonge Street, just north of Queen.
